IT Facilities and Internet Access

Attendees at the API 2008 Residential School in February will be provided with Internet access in their accommodation rooms – the University Apartments. This access will be provided through the University IT department, so that for the period of the Residential School attendees will be logged on as ‘students’ of the University of Tasmania.

To have access to the IT facilities and Internet access at the venue, participants and speakers will be required to fill out an application form to register their log-in credentials with the University Apartments IT system. The following are the steps for filling out the application form and submitting it:
  • Download the two application documents from here and print them out.
  • Fill out the 1st section of page no. 1 ("Request For Access Form").
  • Sign page no. 2. ( "Information Technology Facilities Use Agreement Form").
  • Photocopy or scan a suitable photo ID such as a driver's license or passport. Please note that scanning is probably the best option. Please only send photocopies if they are completely legible otherwise the University will not be able to process the application.
  • The application forms with the legible photocopy should be mailed as soon as possible to:

    Phil Holmes
    API Summer School
    Convention Wise
    Mures Building, Victoria Dock
    Hobart Tasmania
    AUSTRALIA 7000

(Please indicate that this is for the API Summer School in February 2008! This should be done as soon as is practicably possible as it takes some time for these forms to be processed.

  • Note - a scanned copy of your ID can also be e-mailed to phil.holmes@conventionwise.com.au who will pass it on to the University.
